Science shows us that the moment a sperm cell fertilises an egg cell, a new human life is formed. We know that this new being is human because he has human parents and human DNA, and we know he is alive because he is growing, respiring and moving. Embryology textbooks affirm this. For instance, Keith L. Moore writes that “Human development begins at fertilization… This... marked the beginning of each of us as a unique individual“ (The Developing Human: Clinically Oriented Embryology, 7th edition).

“Human development begins at fertilization… This... marked the beginning of each of us as a unique individual“

As opposed to popular culture, we believe that all humans are created equal and deserve human rights protections. Chief among these protections is the right to life, without which there can be no other rights. After all, you must first be alive to be granted other rights, such as the right to private property or to free speech. Contrary to what the UK government says, this includes babies inside the womb. Therefore, abortion is a mass human rights violation as it is the deliberate and systematic destruction of hundreds of thousands of human beings. Abortion is a genocide, and we each have a duty to cause it to be abolished.
